Friday, Friday, Friday! Season Opener Party…
We’re supposed to believe this is a domestic terrorist attacking ICE with a gun
ICE kidnapped a 7 year old who was on her way to urgent care and sent her to a concentration camp in Texas.
This is the same camp where they imprisoned a five-year old from Minnesota who they had snatched and used as bait to lure out his relatives.
This must stop.

America has a housing shortage. Every single housing proposal you see that is not "build more housing" will have the primary effect of pushing up the prices of existing housing, and is therefore, in reality, a plan to enrich current homeowners. In conclusion, build more housing.
Just another 120 homes in central Eugene that would have been illegal to build before Oregon's 2022 parking reforms www.registerguard.com/story/news/l...
My office is tracking how federal agents and Portland Police are treating Portland protestors.
My expectation is that PPB will be respectful, use minimal intervention and force, and will not be wearing masks or gators to cover their identities. We are public servants, we don’t get to hide.
@counciloravalos.bsky.social
Let’s get these parcels developed asap for affordable housing.
Damn - it’s just wholly unacceptable that those USPS parcels are going to take over a decade (from now!!) to be developed. City Councilors should hold Prosper Portland’s feet to the fire.
Build some housing now or get rid of the land asap so we can get some more units built for actual people.
@
what did he say? i haven't been watching
who was lying?
You don’t think the other councilors are acting good faith?
Never forgiving NWSL ownership for turning the best women’s league in the world into a farmers league for Champions League teams
Good point - could just use the mayor to break city council deadlocks
A 13th member elected at large by the entire city

Why isn’t there a tie breaker built into the voting mechanism for council president? Seems like an oversight and could have avoided a full day of unproductive and contentious grandstanding.
Fire on the Mountain day was a huge success- happy new year!!!
Oregon’s huge investments in substance use treatment beds began to pay off in 2025, when hundreds of new beds came online.
“The value of future rent inflation is capitalized in home prices and counted as an asset for homeowners. But the cost of future rents is undetermined for any family at any given time…so…not counted as a liability.” @kevinerdmann.bsky.social www.mercatus.org/research/res... ht @steveroth.bsky.social
get in loser we're doing day one permitting reform
If public policy can make elevators cheaper to build, not only will we build more homes in the middle of our amenity-rich and desirable neighborhoods, but all the homes we do build will be accessible to people who can't always take the stairs.
housing affordability and accessibility overlap!
Mamdani setting up a permitting reform and land inventory task force is some real sickos yes stuff.
Happy New Year
Can’t wait for another wonderful year in the #pnw
#oregon
See you all at FOTM tomorrow
Happy new year!!!
2026 is about affordable homeownership. No more "policy" this year. Feed the local fauna, befriend them, and then use them to overpower homeowners so you can occupy their dwellings.
The concern is process and power. A newly self-formed caucus is coordinating policy and agendas outside the public process, turning public meetings into ratification.
Voters are wary of that shit and want to know more. Just like the past, it concentrates decision-making out of view.

Peacock has a chance to make real progress here in PDX but not if voters don’t trust them
Nick you said:
“As a veteran of mapping & exposing back room dealings”
You were rightly against backroom dealings.
And now you are ok with back room dealings now that you agree with the politicians making them??
