When I lived in Wellington, power in summer for just two of us, was never less than $180/mth.
Winter was around $250/mth, and we had a woodburner. Add in the cost of wood, closer to $300/mth.
Power bill for the year? $3200
Moved to Australia. Last year? $1720.
