As we increasingly experience longer and more intense extreme weather conditions, the EU must strengthen climate adaption and resilience to protect our citizens and planet.

There can be no pause in the green transition. The climate crisis is not tomorrow’s threat. It is today’s injustice.

Today, on the European Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis, we remember the lives lost and the lives forever changed in Europe and around the world.

Today we remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, where over 8,000 lives were lost in an act of unimaginable violence.
We mourn the victims and stand with their families in seeking truth and justice. The PES remembers.

📍In Srebrenica, to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide, the memory of those brutally killed, their families and those still missing 30 years later.

There is no room in Europe—or anywhere else— for genocide denial, revisionism, or the glorification of those responsible.

We rejected the far-right’s attempt to destabilise Europe. But our support to the Commission is not unconditional.

We stood firm: no to the far-right, yes to social justice.
Now the Commission must honour its commitments.
