🧪 Kangaroos have indeterminate growth, although in ♀️ it slows to less than 1% after about age 8, and gets confused with measurement error. Leg length of 6 ♀️ caught 9-10 times yearly since aged 3. On a more personal note, a few fun facts:
- I speak 5 languages
- I have a crazy but lovely cat who knows tricks 😺
- I used to play Quidditch (now named Quadball) and at some point was the manager of the Spanish National Team
Soon (January? 🤞🏼) I'll be defending my thesis and looking for professional opportunities as postdoc, research assistant, or other suitable positions anywhere in Canada.
Happy to connect with anyone at any research stage with similar interests!
For my thesis, I focus on the early live environmental effects (journals.plos.org/plosone/arti...) the Lansing effect and the effect of short interbirth intervals. My thesis is really interdisciplinary, as it mixes ecology with demography and epidemiology.
This is me:
My name is Lidia, I'm doing my PhD at Université de Sherbrooke (Québec, Canada). I'm studying the preindustrial human population of Québec from an ecological perspective. Is a huge dataset built by the demographers of the PRDH program that can be used to study a number of topics.
