Though times are scary, I believe Ori will guide me always to the eye of the storm. I will walk in Safety and Calm because i trust myself. There is a time to sit, to wait, to move , to act and i trust Ori will guide me to which action to take.

Ori and I were meant to walk life together, we were born into the perfect time , place and amongst the right people to make the changes , influence and improvements in the world that we are meant to in this life.

Ori gives me discernment to know how to move in moments of uncertainty.

Ori is the first Orisha we learn to connect to , to pray to.

Through Ori , our blessings are accepted and once accepted it cannot be taken away.

Ori reminds me to love and honor myself, it reminds me listen to my collection of knowledge, my intuition and my body with its needs.

To love yourself , to uphold yourself is to uphold Ori.

In Ifa traditions, we have a concept known as Ori. Ori is a personal Orisha chosen by each human prior to birth. This is the spark of divinity within humanity. Ori carries your destiny , it holds all the best aspects of yourself.

We too will be led back home one day, and every puddle, every bucket full, every clear glass of water will guide us back to those we love to protect, guide and empower them.

Even though they were cut off from the ways of their ppl, we still found our spirits drawn to water . Substance that’s touched every inch of land and sea. The water led their spirits home.

There is so much more that lies beneath the liminal separation between surface and depth. It makes me think to my ancestors who found themselves in a strange land. The rivers , creeks and lakes foreign to them.

When our loved ones depart they return to the Ancestral realm it is through water. Water is significant because it determines life. When we look into its surface we see ourselves reflected back , that is only the surface .

Today I was honoring my ancestors and was inspired to create this simple piece . It started as one concept and through mistakes and intuition I ended up with this.

It is called “Homecoming”.

If Kendrick's show really has them hot & bothered, Trump's administration is about to have a lot of fun with the reality that they can't make go away no matter how hard they try that our society is multicultural with traditions of resistance against oppression that hits them with all they try to do.

It's quite a joke but the only power I have is to help people get funding by helping them get an audience, I don't have funding even for myself or even to give anyone.

Just as Shadow and Light must depend on each other for worth , acknowledgement and existence . These two also require each other . Esu is not a devil. Esu stands in great honor with the Creator , Olodumare

I’ve been spending a lot of time reflecting on Esú. So far I’ve learned that he represents for us the understanding that neither Order nor Chaos is good or evil. They are two coexisting states that cycle and weave together. #Ifa #Isese #Orisha #Esu
