I got my drivers licence that day! Took the morning off work to do the test, then after I got to work the news hit and no work was done anyway.

I was travelling in the US when the Moscow olympics were on, and it felt strange because the olympic games never got a mention in the news.

This is so confusing! Didn't you son have proof of his age? Or does everyone at the table have to be a certain age for anyone to drink alcohol? So the adults in a family can't drink if their kids aren't also adults?

Changing hemisphere messes with my brain. I always head in the wrong direction because south feels like north - the sun is in the wrong place!

Only time I have ever heard of it was in the "Life be in it" campaign which launched in 1975 in Victoria (for anyone old enough to remember). "Hoppo Bumpo" was one of the activities on maybe a print ad, but I had no idea what it was. Grew up and went to school in Vic and NSW.
