I keep a little task board for my side projects and often write a little note for my future self before finishing up. If I forget the note, I can often go back in my AI chat history to see what I was working on.

What is this cryptic post about?

When coding with LLMs I review all of the code to the point that I understand what's going on. If I'm sloppy with reviewing I find myself struggling to guide the LLM as the project evolves.

You like the red-green test method to get oversight? I'm struggling to implement that, too much work/code

I have a bit of a different background and approach. I'm a dev and typically don't write any tests for my projects as they are quite small/not mission critical.

I totally agree, it's a real game changer in terms of speed but I do find that the quality is sometimes lower. If I review everything thoroughly a lot of that speed is lost. Do you really review everything in detail?

I'd also like that. Started hacking together a chrome extension so that you can categorize posts (not just your own) and then turn them into a custom feed. Would be cool to build something at the protocol level but i thought this would be easier to start with

I can also point out some limitations with the services that you don't have if you're creating your own feeds. Things that could make your own feed a bit better I nu suppose 😊

That would be cool. Im all for some search/recommendations that goes beyond keywords. The biggest problem i see is that there is often not even a decent description for a feed. Lacking high quality data out of the box

Almost all the feeds are from services, skyfeed being the biggest. From what I've seen there are also many that host their own feeds but it's quite the barrier to enter compared to using a service

Had to take a break whilst moving to Berlin. Planning to build a few fun projects on ATproto in the coming months - squeezing it in after german class.

The service running the custom feed must support that, but many aren't. Who are you using to create the feed?

A really good skill to have!

Skyfeed is using a cloud provider that had some problems, so maybe that's why it's not working.

But I've made a similar website, give that a try! It's a bit easier imo, but can still be tricky. Ping me if you need help www.tulipsocial.com

I'm sort supporting that through custom feeds built in my website.

You can create a feed that tracks accounts and since the custom feed is created through @tulipsocial.com , it's not tied to you.

Anyone can browse the feed but I'm thinking of making it possible to restrict who has access.
