The sims community as a whole though has serious issues with being catty and elitist and passive-aggressive. Especially a lot of bigger mod creators. Like honey you make mods, you're not Beyonce. Sit down babes x

I'm actually tempted to message the mods to let them know how their subreddit's hostility exacerbated an ongoing mental health crisis but knowing the culture of that subreddit, I'd probably get laughed at. It's honestly sickening how some online communities can be and puts me off being social tbh.

In all seriousness though the Sims 3 subreddit is really elitist towards anyone that needs help. Like sorry you're in denial as to how broken your game is.

man i wish my hyperlexia didn't get lost behind all the adhd and chronic illness brain fog 😭😭 like where is the girlie who taught herself to read at age 2 (i didn't speak till i was like 4 1/2 for comparison) and then proceeded to teach myself cyrillic by decoding a ukrainian cd case bc i was bored

tbf i spent the last 2 years of primary school being an unpaid teaching assistant helping the little kids learn to read and write bc they literally ran out of things to teach me. even after resorting to gcse level textbooks. oh how the turn tables.

it's funny bc i *loved* primary school. like still was undxd and also going through A LOT of trauma in my home life but i was also ""gifted"" so the teachers all loved me. that and they just assumed my neurodivergent traits were trauma responses so i actually got treated with a lot of care 😌
