The last URL was during the election and represents criticism in their coverage.

By saying this, you are tacitly agreeing that NPR does this and that you’ve noticed. It’s not journalism unless you put the reporting in context for the audience. They failed to do that accurately as you’ve just alluded to.

I also have first hand experience with the programming. I see we are at an impasse but we actually seem to be on the same side of the larger picture that Nazis are back, we just disagree about the folks that helped put them there.

During the election, they presented both sides as being reasonable alternatives and used language to dilute just how insane Trump’s ideas and plans were to preserve what they call “balance”. That is not balance, that is sanewashing. NPR is even in the Wikipedia entry for “Sanewashing”.

They are a legacy media company that sanewashed Trump throughout the election. They did not present just how abnormal Trump was and is and the clear and obvious authoritarianism he represented. They blew it. Edward Murrow they are not. Yes, fuck CBS, CNN and Fox too. NPR was supposed to be better.

I’m sorry, you did this to yourselves. You normalized the fascist during a period where you could have actually helped and now you want the people to bail you out from the Leopards eating your face? Any journalist with any integrity left NPR long ago. Let it die and we can rebuild something better.

If the election if free and fair, then yes.

This makes me very happy to see. Just remember that if we make it painful for these people to do their jobs, they may just decide the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

I feel like the point of Independence Day was to celebrate the end of being ruled by a king. I have a hard time celebrating that when we have a king again.

Well, I hope you’re right, but with the 140 BILLION that ICE budget will have, you will see a lot of election interference. We just saw it passing the bill. Lots of legislators worried that violence will come to them if they don’t fall in line. 140 billion buys a lot of intimidation.

The BB bill passed in the Senate and will go back to the House. 140 billion for ICE, 3x the Marines budget. This is it folks, his private army. Money for concentration camps. No fair elections with that kind of money to manipulate/intimidate/eliminate opposition. This is a BIG win for the fascists.
