A three-panel meme of Pingu, the stop-motion penguin, angrily gluing a pink heart to some glitter and sliding it into an envelope. The text reads " Mr Darcy writing his letter to Lizzy"

I hope to find a way to do a live workshop one day, but I’m so thankful (esp. as a writer still so fresh to flash) to have these recorded options from an expert in the form. Thanks, Matt!

Since I started writing flash fiction, my phone and e-ink tablet have been especially helpful as I write & revise while busy with summer kid activities, traveling, etc. Scribbling “morning pages” first thing has been a good practice, too (and I’m not at all a morning person!) 🥱 ✍️

Loved reading this, Emily. And thanks for sharing your rejection journey, too. As a newbie to the submissions roller coaster it’s easy to feel like it never happens to anyone else, especially those at the top of their form. 🙃 Thankful for your work and wishing you the best with the next responses!
