Does anyone recognize the design on this brass button? I reckon it was made between 1920-50 by Pitt Co, London. I know it's a long shot, I'm out of ideas, sometimes I have to know about things, this is one of them๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง๐Ÿ˜…

I decided to rescue all the frog spawn this year, so there's probably going to be a lot of frogs #amphibian #nature

I think it might have been related to the construction work going on nearby. They have built an enclosure that covers the entire house. It could have been the wind blowing through, not sure though. Alien visitors is more exciting๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜…

I think "Her" is pretty close to where things are going from a societal POV, the environment is too clean, but then for the fortunate it probably will be. "Gattaca" also, I think a two tier genetic world is already low key happening. Idk, what I imagine is pretty grim tbh.

I watched Blade Runner 2049 again last night, I'm definitely liking it more each time I see it. Denis Villeneuve got the atmospherics right for sure, that's where we're headed #scifi

Please, if I'm totally off the mark here let me know. I want to understand this better. For the record, I'm not really for this tech, I worry it's further diluting our ability to think, research, have fun being creative.

It seems to me that what we're seeing is more like machine learning, bots that draw on vast information archives. They don't seem intelligent, especially customer facing bots, they're still all but useless (3.

Is the terminology commonly used wrong? I'm no expert on this area but I always thought that true artificial intelligence had the ability to learn and evolve without us interfering and having to constantly feed more and more data. (2.

Something I've been thinking about recently, given that "Artificial Intelligence" is slowly but surely replacing unseen things/processes that we pay little attention to. (1.

Does first class include a wax seal, premium hand made paper, and delivery by horse courier?

I think Royal Mail is trying to kill off snail mail. The cost of first class is going up to ยฃ1.80 and second 91p. It's not like you even get top notch service, it's still mediocre at best. It's mind boggling tbh, just can't see how they justify the recent prices hikes ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘Ž

There was a really weird noise going on last night, around 3am. I've never heard anything like it, and can't explain what the hell it was. It lasted about an hour, I stood and listened, outside, for about 15 minutes, it wasn't an animal or a machine, no idea, very odd ๐Ÿง๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ถ

I prefer the image with the lamp tbh. I'm conflicted over image editing apps, especially now that Adobe is so heavily leaning on artificial intelligence. I've used Photoshop since it came out, I feel sad to drop it. It's still really good for image restoration.
