As someone that’s worked in IT for finance for decades my advice is keep 2 current accounts with different banks and have a usable balance in both. What helpful advice would you give from your sector?

I’d say be more diverse. Always maintain 2 current accounts and leave a usable balance in both. This is a privilege to those with ‘spare’ money. It’s always those that are struggling that are hit hardest when things go wrong.
