We're rinsing and repeating the same old issues, we have a lack of housing, which allows developers to argue for reducing space to maximise housing delivery numbers. Councils will be left with the problems, while developers profit. And residents are taking it out on each other.

While we're on #IREvSCO, tickets for the W6N game on May 17 are still available online.
This is the first time EVER the women's team has had a dedicated Aviva Stadium match day to itself.
Historical!
Put your money where your mouth is and go shout in-person.

"They have to pay a mortgage" ok??? On a second house??? How tragic! Next they'll be paying taxes! (Unlikely)

Social media created this nonsense idea that not exposing yourself to hatred is isolationist. Choosing to not spend your free time with bigots isn’t living in a bubble. I don’t need to know what’s going on at X. I won’t be smarter or more knowledgeable or empathic by being there. Neither will you.

As someone who has lived sports, I can tell you the thing that will piss those men’s hockey team off the most is if you go all in on women’s hockey.

Support them to take up as much space as possible for women and girls in the game. Make them ever decrease in relevance.

I fear many of them are still only a half step away from true sentience. And mostly unaware of other people being real and alive. Emotional intelligence is in short supply on threads

Of course it did, that was the point.

That's always the point when they attack people in poverty, people that need community care, people that don't "get up early in the morning to work", etc.

To quote Emmit Kirwan, it wasn't blokes in tracksuits that ruined the country, it was blokes in suits.

As Ireland secures Nitrates derogation, scraps airport limits and tries to scupper Mercosur trade deal, what a GREAT time to go to the EU with the béal bocht routine, begging to be saved from our own greed & stupidity yet again.

Also just a weird and insensitive thing to say in front of people living in a low income town who's lives have been destroyed yet again by totally predictable flooding

Black and white photo of a child’s toy bunny sits scattered amongst other toys. Yellow text overlays the image reading: 16,734 People in emergency homeless accommodation.

16,734 people were living in emergency accommodation in December 2025, including 5,188 children 📉

While any reduction in homelessness is welcome, it must be sustained, continuous and on a larger scale. There are serious concerns that numbers are set to rise again in the coming months.

...which is why tax-dodging fascist billionaires buy newspapers and TV News channels even though they lose money. Because they know mugs believe the shite their paid shills pump out.

I suggest that we start using the phrase "Mr. Beast and the CEO of Salesforce will be there too." as shorthand to explain how little we want to be at any given terrible event.

Similar thing happened to me! Didn't realise how out of it I was until I accidentally overshot the exit from the beach by 300m while walking the dog. A very well marked and obvious entrance I've been using for 20 years!

Cyberpunk is the prime example of a game that was pushed out fast instead of delayed. It was unplayable for the majority of its lifespan. Its still sometimes unplayable now! If I want to play it on ps4 I have to walk everywhere because it cant drive a car and render environment at the same time
