i genuinely feel so strongly about this because in the face of homogeneous systems that pretend to cater to mass consumption, i do think it is possible to study it and adapt it to a specific voice that still wants to reach as wide an audience as possible

yes we have to celebrate individualism in spaces of conformity, but when has this specific group ever NOT done things on their terms regardless of whether they're given permission to by others? why are we presuming we know what the meaning of keeping up with the new media landscape even means?
