I really need you guys to internalize this.

Government and corporations ripped Kimmel off the air for lightly badmouthing their behavior. Coordinated pushback by us is what forced them to cave in and put Kimmel back on air.

Again. The fascists caved in *due to coordinated pushback.*

#DinoConUK @grahancock.bsky.social: Using assets from @prehistorickingdom.bsky.social, tested the camouflage effectiveness of different color patterns on T. rex in a forested environment. Found that those with countershading, different head coloration, and disruptive coloration on tail worked best.

A recently published study found that cooking meat did not give enough energetic gains to counter the cost of maintaining fire. The authors suggest that early fire use was more about meat preservation and protection against predators.

a quiet night ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฆ–
in the forests of late triassic argentina, dusk is approaching, and a male herrerasaurus is preparing to embark on a night-time hunt with his mate. at 6 metres long, his size wards off most rivals, though he still carries battle scars

an Amargasaurus crosses a river, as it reaches the bank of the other side it tilts its neck up, the water that pooled between its neck sails cascades out from the gap in the back back into the river from whence it came

Amargasaurus is a kind of sauropod dinosaur (typically long necked and usually large quadrupedal reptiles) and specifically a dicraeosaurid (a group of sauropods with proportionally short necks, long tails, and tall spines on their back) it possessed two parallel sails on its neck made of spines that were angled towards the back of the animal

A great float of Attenborosaurus swiftly navigate their pelagic environment in their hunt for fish.

Attenborosaurus (named after Sir David Attenborough) is an extinct marine reptile that existed during the early Jurassic, it was a primitive pliosaurid, closer related to short-necked plesiosaurs.

The sauropod dinosaur Amargasaurus in front view. Its head is slightly lowered, mouth open, with its neck reconstructed with a single large hump of flesh atop it. The piece is sketchy and black and white, with rough detailing and shading.

A Bajadasaurus biting the neck of a rival. It is a sauropod dinosaur with a long neck (although comparatively short for a sauropod), the front of which has a large hump atop it, adorned with eye spots. Its rival is reeling back as the main individual rakes its teeth down its neck. Dust flies up at the bottom. The piece is in the same back and white sketchy style.

A Stegosaurus missing the end of its tail. It is viewed slightly from behind, its neck curving back slightly. The neck has a small dewlap along the underneath, and the whole animal is adorned with its recognisable large plates. The open wound where the tail has been severed is dripping blood. The piece is in the same black and white sketchy style.

A portrait sketch of the carnivorous dinosaur Acrocanthosaurus. Only the head, neck and shoulders are shown. Its body is side-on to the viewer, but its head is turning to face almost straight-on. It has a light covering of feathers along the spine. The piece is in the same back and white sketchy style.

Results from tonight's Flocking #Paleostream! Definitely my favourite batch of sketches I've done during one of these so far, I'm pretty happy with all of them - no doubt helped by being all dinosaurs.

according to the supreme court women are not oppressed by sexism, misogyny, men โ€” patriarchy.

they are oppressed by biology. womenโ€™s oppression is a natural state.

that is not a victory for womenโ€™s rights. itโ€™s another barrier.

โ€˜gender criticalโ€™ is a far right cancer within feminism.
