Whenever I send a client a link to review something via Vimeo, it ALWAYS recommends my old horror short films as a 'watch next'. I am absolutely not changing that 😂

Cheers, mate. Sometimes life throws responsibilities at you that cannot be ignored and everything nonessential has to wait in the wings. The film is happening and healthy, but just not where I needed it to be at that time and moment.

If you haven’t seen it yet and want to keep the cursed video vibe going, I’d suggest you hunt down the short film also called Rings. They made it between the US The Ring and The Ring 2 and I always thought it was a brilliant story from that world!

Sorry to all those who only recently followed me on here, I'm usually quite optimistic about things, but certain life issues have caused me to miss a personal goal related to a film, and it's kinda crushed me. There needs to be some sort of filmmakers AA or the likes for this kinda bummer.

No use in trying to push something that’s not ready for others when it can be held a little bit longer and be what it needs to be (a pro for indie films), but the goal/dream I was aiming for is sad to see slip away. I’m going to watch an episode of Red Dwarf before passing out to cheer myself up.

A melancholy mood this evening. I’ve pushed myself as much as I can, but a massively tough life event has demanded my full attention these past few weeks and I have to admit that my latest passion project is still a few days off being acceptable for other people’s eyes, and time has run out.

I don't think I've ever made a film I've cut so much usable material from before. I may have to Wake Up, Ron Burgundy this mofo.

I'm not going to lie, I got a bit teary-eyed reading this. It might seem out of left-field, but Dawson's Creek was a huge part of my teen years, and even a recent rewatch still had it hitting home for life events I've had to navigate in the interim. Stories are powerful.

Rant time; how bleak is it that people can now use Film Freeway, the only real avenue for submitting films to festivals anymore, as a way to directly cold call and try butter you up with a copy/paste line about your film before pitching their 'services' for funding?

My Little Eye is so great. I rewatched it only recently! I have a version where you need to use the special tinted DVD box to reveal a code to access special hidden features. I swoon for that kind of effort!

To be fair it’s been a husk of its former glory for like a decade. I have to use it for work purposes but it has been more and more unreliable for both uploading and its privacy settings for a good while now.
