It boggles my mind that even though it is by far one of the most limited ways to mix audio, I am far FAR quicker mixing in Avid than anything else. I tried Fairlight and it just seemed to struggle under its own logic a lot. Cubase felt a bit awkward (though I love it for music mixing). #nerdalart

I got both my flu and Covid jab yesterday and boy howdy is there no doubt about that. No one ask me for anything from the top shelf for awhile, my arms are very much in recovery.

I thought I saw something about a mad long version and figured it was just a few of the films jammed together. I can't imagine an extra 2 hours added to the film, but damn if I'm not interested!

YESSSS!!!! It really felt like a video in search of a topic, all the while cherry picking quite heavily for its own narrative.

I have a few entries in the I'm Haunted series to check out, but I've been enjoying them so far. Near is totally new to me, I must get it on my radar ASAP!

It finally happened; I forgot to pay for my parking at the train station this morning. I’ve since paid through the app, but now it’s Shrodingers Parking Ticket while I see if I got it paid in time or not.

Like sorry if it makes you uncomfortable but if Irish society lost its unique features (language, cultural practices, etc), it WOULD simply be less Irish.

I loath the idea of lulling people onto a project by acting like it’ll be all fun and unicorns. Hopefully it will, but this is the Irish winter. We’re talking Game of Thrones level of harshness here and I don’t want any of my warriors under the wrong impression here. Winter IS coming.

It’s pretty blatant I am about to shoot a new found footage film, and all I can wonder is, is it self-sabotage that I am VERY clear about what kind of shoot it will be with people approaching me, as opposed to just saying “it’ll be fun and easy! We’ll have la croix 🤩”.

CASTING CALL ULTRA LOW BUDGET HORROR FEATURE FILM PAID (LOW DAILY RATE) North Wicklow. Mid-December. Contact: weirdprettypictures@gmail.com The role: Lily, 25-40. The director of the documentary. Determined. Level-headed. Open-minded and needing to find out if the events of the first film were real. IMPORTANT: This is a very low budget shoot with extremely minimal crew and a large portion of it takes place outside during the Irish winter, with there being filming during night time and very possibly in rain. Update: 5.35an and just going to sleep. Very much needed love in with my friend and my wife.

I was supposed to be going to Newcastle for a get together I was very excited for but circumstances meant I had to bail on. Instead, it’s nearly 4am and I am hanging with one of my dearest friends having the kind of night you need every now and again for the soul. I am emo, but also appreciative.

Ok well after some not so great weeks and plan changes that kinda broke my heart, I woke up to a message to something extremely exciting and pretty immediate. It looks like the universe does in fact open a window sometimes.
