I want queer period dramas. Not just some secondary character who is gay and is treated like shit for it but one where the central cast are queer and just living their lives. I want Outlander but in the style of Our Flag Meets Death. And I want to have so many shows I'm spoiled for choice.

And to be unavoidably clear, the ONLY criterion for being transgender is this:

You know your gender to be something other than what someone else assigned you.

That's it.

Binary? Nonbinary? Agender? Bigender? Genderfluid? Yes, and more.

And every time someone complains, we add 13 new terms.

Most cis people think being trans is something we DO, and therefore that transition—names, pronouns, presentation, hormones, surgery, etc.—is something we WANT.

Trans people know being trans is something we ARE, and that transition is something we NEED.

This difference is killing us.
