I don't know how well I explained myself since it's kind of hard to explain with the character limit, but it's just like building blocks, you focus on the first one and then you slowly build on top, but rather than academic study, you actively apply it to something you like!

Do that over and over and you'll start to be much more confident in your anatomy skills, and then you can move on to practicing character design for example, since you already have the base anatomy down, and you can just focus on the design aspect.

Character design, color choices, etc..., you just focus on doing fun poses for them and their anatomy, and that way you're focusing on just one aspect, but also you're gonna have fun doing it, and you'll also have a cool finished piece to make you feel accomplished and that you can share.

My advice is to pick something you like and something specific you want to be better at. For example, you want to be better at drawing characters and anatomy, then pick some characters you like and make fanart of them. The characters are already designed, so you don't have to worry about -

2. This is a twist on the "just practice" thing, because when it comes down to it it's just that, but most people interpret that as "do anatomy studies everyday" or "draw a million cubes in perspective" and while that kind of academic practice is important, it might bore and discourage you.

The way the quality of my work skyrocketed the moment I started using them is crazy 😭
If you want to draw something, look it up, if you want to draw a hand, take a picture of your own and even trace over it to study it if you need to! You will start to see how much faster you'll improve!

I feel like beginner artists are always reticent to use references because they wanna prove they can draw from imagination (I know because I was like that!) and that will slow your progress a lot!

But when it came to kink art I've just been totally motivated the whole time. This has been my most productive year ever by far, I still can't believe the amount of finished pieces I've done?
So I guess the answer is to do something you're excited about with no pressure or expectations!

For my kink art I'm definitely incredibly inspired by all the amazing artists in the community, seeing their pieces will always spark ideas for my own work!

In terms of motivation it's weird, because I used to have such a hard time being motivated to work on my art (cont.)

I have! One my goals has always been to make a full comic at some point, and I would love to make some short form kink comics to practice, but comics are such a big undertaking, and I just haven't had the time with my day job and comms to commit to it yet 😩

And the new people it could attract will probably be disappointed later on since I might not draw that specific kink ever again.

That said I'll always draw and share whatever I want to, so this could very well change in the future and I could start drawing something completely different!

Oh, definitely! I'm very mood based when it comes to kinks, so sometimes I'll be in the mood for something outside of my usual stuff and I'll sketch it, but I think it's probably not worth sharing since my core audience might not care for or be into it at all, - (cont.)

I don't really have a strong preference to be honest, but if I had to choose, maybe something form fitting where you can see the whole process clearly, like a latex suit or a singlet!

God, so many! I'm incredibly proud of the sequences I've done, both the bearification one and the blueberry TF I just did!
