Some time in 2021 I "laid in a bathtub, melancholy, sipping dessert wine and hearing for the first time a recording of Beethoven's last piano sonata," and I still don't have the words— How do I tell you what that was like? How do I talk about it? The piece is a deep-tissue massage for the emotions.

In grad school I spent YEARS on Beethoven 31 mvt 3, never recorded it, can no longer play it. I played this one, ok? Or at least I tried to. I ironed out each section, even though I wrinkle the whole thing so much. And it's been a while. And I cannot get myself to slow down. But I did it, ok? Ok.

I spent a few months during the summer working on this Bach prelude, and I never recorded the whole thing. But I haven't been playing it recently, and I can tell my brain space for this one is on the way out. On impulse, grabbed my phone, did one rusty take, 3m bsky video limit, ok whatever.

The angsty minor-key music I try to write is always trying to channel the "life is so beautiful but also so terrible all at the same time" mood I feel every day while I wonder "do other people feel this way too and not share it or do I need therapy"

In a persistent rut where I try to keep on top of everything but still feel like it's all constantly slipping. So I end up in (burn out?) "I want to do nothing" states, but I'm (barely?) organized enough to know I must do a specific task *today* to keep afloat. So I toil, whatever, lmao. Adulthood.
