Role of mTORC1 signaling in postnatal microglia activation preceding neurodegeneration in a mouse model for Niemann-Pick disease Type C In Npc1 deficient mice, postnatal developmental alterations in cerebellar microglia and Purkinje cells (PCs) are followed by early-onset neurodegeneration. Even in the absence of PC loss, microglia in...

🎉Thrilled to share that our second paper of the summer has just been published in PLOS ONE! 😃 Six Providence College students are co-authors on this study, where we investigated the role of the mTORC1 pathway in the development of microglia in a mouse model of NPC

Grateful for my enthusiastic and productive lab students at Providence College. This past academic year, we moved Science forward by working on 4 primary projects, presenting at conferences, participating in an outreach event, and submitting 2 manuscripts. Plus a bonus visit from Dr. Beth Stevens! ☺️

This is the thing:

People PAY for healthcare through health insurance. But health insurance companies are not in the business of providing healthcare. They are in the business of making money.

And they are making money with a trapped economy. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel for them.
