Some horrible person that I live with has gotten hand soap on my toothbrush and apparently we don’t currently have any spares. I’m leaving. After I gargle again.

I have to dig out the humidifiers and give them a really good cleaning and run vinegar through them for a bit and who has time for this. I will just suffer instead.

I only made mix tapes for myself as a small child, but in my first year at college I received multiple cd’s from a guy who gave me the ick, couldn’t take “back off” as an answer and stalked me for months to and from campus sooooo it kinda ruined the whole thing for me. 😒

But that being said, they still don’t value art, even the realism. Even the kind involving toil, because either way it’s not useful to them. They still don’t want to own it, why? What does it do for them? They still think the artist should probably get a real job.

Oh they still don’t wanna BUY it. I’m related to people like this. If it’s not technically proficient, if they can’t see the TOIL involved in its creation, then the artist was having fun, therefore they weren’t working, and since they can’t get paid to play, no one else should either.

With the exception being artists/small businesses who have to raise their prices after Black Friday because of inflation and cost of living increases, and would like to do a sale to compete with the big guys, but can’t actually afford to chip away at their minuscule profits any further.

I have a 10yo graphic novel eater. She gobbles them up like candy. She LOVES when they have extra material in the back. The story being short does not bother her. Include a second short story unrelated to the main plot, put bts content in the back, drawing prompts or fun facts.

Maybe these bag charms in the making are wishful thinking. But I think I’ll keep one for myself.

I think silicosis is one of those things you get from prolonged exposure, but I still don’t think that means anyone should not take precautions.

Good! 😂 but in this case I just didn’t want to assume that you knew. I watched one of my students last month take a big breath and blow the dust off her bone dry piece and I screeched like a banshee. But it wasn’t her fault, I should have warned them all ahead of time.

Please make sure not to sweep or vacuum up any dusty bits!! Damp cloth only!

Have you seen the lady who uses buttons with her very smart cat and the cat chooses which pill it wants first and even tilts its head up for her?? Neither of my little ding dings could ever.

I had the option to give one of my cats pilled or an injection and the tech was relatively shocked I chose injection. It is WAY easier to give that cat a needle than get him to swallow a pill without getting my fingers nipped.

I did not die! I thought I might, but I lived to eat spicy food again later.

This paragraph is a whole mess but that’s because I was attempting to convince my husband to let me use his netti pot to pour milk up my nose and down my throat.

I imagine anyone eating spicy food on a regular basis knows this already, but I just learned that you should not snort-laugh with a mouthful of spicy Thai curry in your mouth the hard way.

My nasal passages are on fire.

I would not have bought this shirt for myself (it was a mom gift) but I live in an area with a lot of Ethiopian and Jamaican folks and guaranteed every time I wear it I’ll get at least one compliment from an ancient black lady or two. I think they’d pull it off better than me, but I’ll take it!

I get that against my will.

There are a bunch of beads and bits and bobs that I’ve had stashed in a drawer for ages and I have finally found a use for them. I’ve already made 5 bag charms and had a ball doing it.

Also I had a really good hair day (I just woke up like this) but nowhere to be, so you get a selfie.

More willing to pay a slop machine and feed it her child’s face without consent than just pay an artist.

My husband has to wear ear protection at work all day, so he gets home and absolutely refuses to use headphones. I just throw stuff at him now. I wish this was a socially acceptable practice to do in public.

I saw this earlier today and it was a good reminder that there are no white knights. Especially not in tech.

I’ve just recently downloaded the free all-in-one affinity and tho I don’t do a lot of vector work and haven’t had a chance to test that part yet, I have been really liking it. I also don’t use Adobe enough to justify a subscription so I’ve been limping along without.

My husband deeply loves pickles, and he’s pulled me around on them. But only in specific circumstances where they are a flavour in a larger dish

I keep saying my demand avoidance isn’t pathological but sometimes I am shocked by the absolute audacity the Britt from 10mins ago had, when she wrote a to do list that I am now just expected to DO?!!!

They seep their garbage juices all over everything they touch.

I don’t know how y’all do it, cucumbers are quite possibly the most vile thing I’ve ever smelled and I’ve changed a lot of diapers in my life.

The second vilest smell is weed. Please don’t come over to me if you are weed stinky, I will make an excuse to leave and then avoid you forever after that.

I think my FIL thought I was being a little silly and annoying when I ask them to keep cucumbers out of the salad (he refuses to eat salad anyway, so he didn’t REALLY care) until today, when I walked into the kitchen right as my husband bit a cucumber and began gagging and coughing uncontrollably.

One of my biggest pet peeves is being told things I already know, and one of the ways I know I’ve grown up is how I let it slide off my back and try to get excited WITH them now, instead of being annoyed about it.
