If a friend today gave me a picture and said 'I made an AI picture of your character!' I would still thank them for thinking about me, but while that picture might be better looking than a stick figure, it would not have the same warmth around it.
Some years ago, two of my friends drew my ffxiv character during a raid night. Those drawings are slightly more detailed stick figures, but I keep them saved on my phone because it was a really cool and funny gift, and the shared memories of our raid nights.
I wish race locked hairstyles were not race locked. I'd love some au ra races for my lala.
