Dug up some absolutely insane pictures of the first two fursuit head bases I made (neither were finished) I was about 11-12 when I made these. The first head I ever made was with cardboard which you can see the snout of in right corner of the first picture.

I feel like it should be obvious that an author elaborating on how they wrote a character should not be considered “shooting down headcanons” but I think modern fandom has forgotten that authors are the ones in control of stories and not the fans.
