sorry, should have clarified, i dont particularly find it shallow in terms of creativity or messaging. it's shallower in the actual complexity of its story and "gameplay." reaching your first "ending" takes about 20 minutes and you (probably) have a feel for the rest of it from there

a lot of indie animation lucky enough to get popular (ie helluva boss, digital circus, ENA, etc) quickly become hated for the fandoms they develop, but theyre all celebrations of things loved by their creators that are incredibly accessible. ofc theyre going to draw in weirdos

yeah. its really good. probably a bit shallow coming hot off umineko, but the art is phenomenal and there's some really memorable stufff in there
