i wanted to paint a little companion piece for the landscape from a couple days ago. used basically the same colours and everything but look how different it turned out - so earthy and gloomy... also birch trees are really, really hard.

Vielen lieben Dank! Gefällt mir auch ziemlich, da hatte ich einen guten Tag und es war dort eine ganz besondere Stimmung, die Farben sind gar nicht so weit von der Realität entfernt. Bin ein bisschen traurig, dass es jetzt "nur" im Skizzenbuch versauert.

these days i'm either drawing loose landscapes in very exaggerated colours or more tight, detailed (& pretty raunchy) people studies. do i have to decide between the two or can i just succumb to the moment?

the greed on display here is genuinely revolting.
