Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2.

Despite their flaws, and each of them have flaws, these games just pull me in and take me away on a wonderful journey. To be able to experience them for the first time would be amazing.

There are other things, mounts, unique weapons/armor pieces, cosmetics, etc. that I will still need to farm old raids for. It is just nice to have a certain set of collections mostly completed. :)

I have the Ahn'Qiraj, Dungeon Sets 1 & 2 for all the classes. Most of the Dungeon Sets are the replicas from Darkmoon Faire. That's cool as I just wanted the appearances. I still need to collect all the sets from the Sunwell and the current Mage Tower, but those aren't major pulls for me. (8/8)

PvP sets: I might do this, but a large number of sets are things you needed to be really good at PvP -- I'm not -- and be doing PvP at the time. I may pick up some sets, but it's not something I'm going to worry about completing. And that's ok. Not everything in Wow is for me. (7/x)

T3 - 40 man Naxxramas. It was reintroduced, but is a massive gold sink for most players. If you farm everything, the minimum cost is 2.8 million gold to make a set. If you buy all the parts, the costs are around 5 million gold. At least I have a goal for my gold-making. ^_^ (6/x)

T14 -Heart of Fear: The Heroic Druid set needs a bracer piece that doesn't seem to be currently in the game. :sigh: Apparently it was in Mist of Pandaria Remix, but not knowing that I didn't purchase that outfit. Oops. There's always one. (5/x)

The bottom three raids are from The War Within and won't be legacy content until The Last Titan, the expansion after Midnight, so I won't be worrying about collecting anything there for a couple of years. (4/x)

Some notes. Vault of the Incarnates, Aberrus, and Amirdrassil are from Dragonflight and just became legacy content. It is now much easier to collect sets from there. Once characters hit level 90 and have some decent gear farming Mythic appearances will be reasonably doable. (3/x)

With the War Within expansion it was changed so any class can learn all the armor types & set pieces even if they can't use them for that specific class's looks. Then with Midnight it was changed so that learning the appearance of a specific difficulty taught all the lesser difficulty looks. (2/x)

One of the things I do in #Wow is collect raid/dungeon appearance sets. This is where I currently stand.

Originally you needed to collect set appearances by class, though look-alikes could be collected by armor type. (1/x)

As a team leader I get the 'fun' job of reminding my team they need to check their reference materials before coming to ask me what the answer might be.

My time played in Wow broken down by class. The most played is Paladin at 33.2% - roughly 412 days. The least played is the newest class, Evoker, at 0.2% - 2 days 1 hour. The total play time on the list is 3 years and 149 days.

My time played in #Wow broken down by class using the Account Played addon. The numbers are close, but not exact as I have deleted characters over the years, but I suspect I'm not out by more than a week or so. (A month at most and that would be very generous.)

There was a server in Burning Crusade where the total player base was over 50% Blood Elves (both factions). As the original pretty race for the 'monster/ugly' faction, BEs were everywhere and not just because they were the Horde's first paladin race.

The current #Wow pre-patch event is the most uninspired event they've run. Given this one is worse than the sad Cataclysm pre-patch event that's saying something.

What I dislike is that you can tell it was designed for the then 'new hotness' tank and all the other tanks were retro-fitted to it.

The tank challenge also needs a soft savepoint like the Healer challenge has. It's no fun to have to redo a phase over and over just to get where you need. :/

To add to today's #wow craziness, I just did the Fel werebear challenge. I got the achievement, but not the items or the appearance because I died right at the end. I had to go redo the challenge and stay alive through the whole thing to get everything.

I find it amusing that all the Top 25/50/100 'of all time' posts about different hobbies invariably end up being the author's favorite things from the past five years. It's rare any such list actually covers things across the years or the various sub-genres.

I've had to mute people in order to bring the terribleness of the world to manageable levels. It's not that the folks are wrong or bad, but there's only so much I can handle at this point in my life. (I do wish Bluesky would let me mute people's reposts.) Do what you need to stay sane. :hugs:

If you're interesting in Brawler's Guild in #wow, now is the time to do it. The Midnight prepatch made the fights noticeably easier.

In my case, the Rank 6 leper gnomes fight went from being a pain to a simple kill.

No, I'm not stopping playing, but I do have less joy in playing the game because the devs forgot to remember to ask themselves what would things feel like as a player.

Let us feel like we're starting from were we left off. Having one more thing to fix when I didn't have to just adds fuel to the fire that 'the devs are disconnected from their players'. While I don't think that is true on a serious level, adding unneeded friction isn't smart. (4/5)

If #Blizzard had just included a free slot (and just 2 starter slots was cheap and tacky) of what our characters were wearing before the update that would have been great. They had the information and could have included it in a 'fixed' outfit slot. (3/5)

Appearances are something you don't expect to happen and are fraught with emotional consequences. While I like the new transmog systems, they are a big change with lots of moving features. Seeing my characters without their transmog just was a big flag of all the things I needed to do. (2/5)

Sometimes it is the small things that disincentivize you from playing an MMO. With the #Wow Midnight pre-patch seeing all of my characters without their transmogs just stalled my interest in logging in and fixing things. I mean, you expect expansions to have systems changes, but appearances? (1/5)
