Today, the site of the historic Compton’s Cafeteria riot is operated by GEO Group, a private prison corporation with a long record of labor abuse, human rights violations, and immigrant detention. Trans and queer organizers are challenging GEO Group’s use of the site. Public Hearing: June 11 @ 5pm

DHS Scraps Ban on Surveillance Based on Sexual Orientation (1) A Department of Homeland Security unit eliminated policies prohibiting personnel from conducting intelligence activities based solely on a person’s gender identity or sexual orientation.

DHS has removed manual guidance barring investigations solely based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

This is a prerequisite to targeting the LGBTQ community with criminal investigations solely based on being LGBTQ.

Donald Trump's executive order stating that there are only 2 genders uses language of #fetalpersonhood. If fully enacted, fetal personhood would give full rights to fetuses, outlawing abortion nationwide, and could treat abortion as murder. Not a coincidence.

DOJ announced it will limit enforcement of 1994 law the FACE Act that protects abortion clinics. Trump admin says it will only prosecute those who unlawfully block access to clinics if they do something extraordinary like kill someone or cause serious bodily/property harm.
