this hasn't really left the gamedev circles yet but, there's been like, 30,000 layoffs in the videogame industry the past two years. 11000 are from the first half of this year. it's pretty much the most layoffs this industry has had, ever. it's rough for a lot of us.

Currently in uni studying games development and I've watched the industry crumble as I was running to get into it, I've met so many lovely people who have sadly lost jobs due to the mass layoffs :( been awful to watch it unfold, praying that some can atleast land on their feet after that
