In this first strip, Gasoline Alley appears as just one segment on the bottom of the Rectangle and shows the characters all working on their cars together while chatting. The page is in black and white.

In one of the more well known Sunday strips, Walt and Skeezix visit the beach. In 12 color panels, we see them walking towards the water as Walt encounters various obstacles (he trips, gets hit by a beach ball, bumps into someone, etc...) before they get to the water. The overall page shows one large image of the beach, even though we follow their progress in individual panels

The newspaper comic strip Gasoline Alley, created by Frank King, debuted on November 24, 1918. It first appeared as part of a black and white Sunday page called The Rectangle, & got its own daily strip in August 1919.

i first read it Bagley's art blew my mind. For some time i was like "I wanna draw like him".
