ICE agents reveal daily arrest quotas and surveillance app in rare court testimony Under oath, officers said they were told to make eight arrests a day and given special tech to help choose ‘targets’

When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.

“I asked AI…” I mean what the hell?!? She thought doing that… and then actually saying that out loud was a good idea?!? Good lord.

Trump can't simply say, "I won!" and stop the war because that would leave Israel vulnerable. Trump has committed you and your children to fighting in the Middle East forever without consulting you or your representatives in Congress. Netanyahu knew what he was doing when he engineered this.

In psychology there is a concept called Bandura’s mechanism which explains how constant exposure to atrocity like government’s are putting us through now turns good people into people who tolerate atrocity. They’re making us microdose atrocity hourly, to get us to ignore it.

The one way to ensure you will not receive a political donation from
me is to text me. Seriously, it’s too much. It’s an automatic no. If you email me that’s okay… I’ll take a look and decide. Texting me = NO.

When government agents impersonate missing‑person investigators to snatch a college student from her dorm, that’s not “enforcement.” It’s state‑sponsored deceit. It’s the playbook of regimes we condemn. And it should terrify anyone who cares about democracy and the rule of law.

RIP Mr Jackson. Thank you for speaking truth to power, fighting for civil rights in this racist country, and for standing with Palestine.

Okay. I was just sharing my thoughts.

And as I share above, the bigger issue is that judging with anomalies is a problem. It damages people’s faith in the system. And when 5 out of nine judges place a team first. They should be first.

If one judge did not have a dramatically lower score, the lower of the scores that are more in alignment would have been removed. So, it can ensure that a lower score is part of the average. This is why diving removes two on each side. Because just removing one still allows gaming of the system.

I just showed the AI result because it was more succinct. It shared the same information that was shared in reporting in the Guardian, CNN, ESPN, etc. No need for help.

Redirecting...

I know they do trimmed scoring, but the issue there is if you have a dramatically lower score removed, that was not in alignment, it leaves the next lowest score, to pull down the average. You are still gaming the system to affect the final score.

According to the reporting, the French judges score was not removed. And the ISU has not confirmed that it wasn’t included.

Are you saying that the French judges score was excluded?

I think the bigger issue is not addressing the major and ongoing scoring anomalies. The French judge has been doing it all year. Even when Cizeron/Beaudry had multiple mistakes & a fall, the judge scored them above other pairs that skated well, and just below Chock/Bates. It’s damaging the sport.

I am not sure they did. This is from the Guardian: In the free dance, the judge awarded the French pair nearly eight points more than the American team – a margin large enough that, had that score been excluded, Chock and Bates would have moved into the gold medal position.

Yes, but that still affects the remaining scores that are included. When there are scoring anomalies on either side, it directly affects the scores that are being used. The French judge has been out of alignment with/ the scores for Cizeron/Beaudry all year. It’s a problem.

Yeah that’s what I thought… it was boring.

They (Cizeron) also had errors that didn’t show up in the judging. The French judges scores were an anomaly among the judging panel. That leads to people questioning it. And apparently he’s done it before.

I thought the American pair won the free dance by far. The French had a couple of errors and it was a beautiful dance, but a little boring. I preferred the American and Canadian pairs. But the French judges scoring makes people question the scoring. And he’s done it before.

Opinion | Affordability and the ‘Epstein Class’ Will Define American Politics

“When Citizens United was decided in 2010, billionaires had spent $18 million on the 2000 election, $13M 2004 and $16M in 2008. Then came the deluge. In 2012 it was $231M, and nearly doubled again in next three election cycles —to $682M in 2016, $1.2 billion in 2020 and $2.6 billion in 2024.” Gift:

This is how CBS Evening News depicted data showing that less than 14% of ICE arrests involved those accused or convicted of violent crimes, and less than 2% had homicide or sexual assault charges or convictions.
