"Winter's Bird In Blue"

This morning I heard the bird song
On a cold winters day

The rain had fallen oh so long
Washing my worries all away

I knew now that the time had come
To cut my ties and embrace

All I have around me makes me feel so warm
Through these harsh winter days

Were thrown into the wind
A gentle storm upon us
Disturbed our peaceful day
The pressure in the atmosphere
Changed with this very whim
All around felt the disturbance
As they drank their afternoon tea

I woke up this morning to a red sky
A warning was everywhere
I felt the rain on my shoulder
As I went into the mornings way
It felt so crisp and alive in the air
As if october had been awoken
Darkness fell over me in this
As the day moved boldly on
