I really liked the effect of the green circle, and I think the jar moving up and down a bit would match the sounds better something like this:

I thought it would be interesting to add the Lissachatina fulica, or giant African land snail, as a new species in the game. It's one of the largest snails in the world and so big it nearly fills all nine spaces.

The Platycotis vittata or oak tree hopper has a pronotum, which is that "horn" shaped thing they have on their head, I thought it had an interesting shape

The Mecynorrhina torquata (or Giant Flower Beetle? I think, I couldn't find a specific common name for this insect) has large wings. It would change form on the next turn, alternating between its winged and wingless forms after each use

The green peach aphid produces a pheromone that, when threatened, warns other aphids and causes them to scatter. So my idea is that once the aphids are used in a square formation, they disperse in the second round and take on a new shape
