How fascinating! What a wonderful woman Annie was to raise Lillie as her own, even as she was raising for other children as a single parent. It sounds like the little one slotted into the family easily and was simply accepted as being one of them.

My DSP is now $28,366 a year including rent assistance.... I worked a few different sessional and home-based jobs this year at small hours to help supplement that but I broke my brain more than once doing that, so next year is a year off

If I was a tutoring company and I wanted to convince you that I could teach your kids maths, I would probably not have an advert that said “3=2” on it!

That’s just me though.

- He agreed to the sale on condition he could live there as long as he wanted, but she failed to ensure his tenure, putting him *at risk of eviction*
- Her penalty was a one year licence suspension and an $11k fine

This should be an offence subject to imprisonment!

Holy shit, it gets worse (for those who'd prefer not to read a Murdoch website):
- She purchased the home *after* the house next door sold for $1.1m
- She had *power of attorney* over him and he lacked the mental capacity to sell his home

An Alex Brychta illustration of an Oxford Reading Tree book—it’s a children’s nursery class and in the middle is a pile of blocks with letters on them, they read (top left to bottom):
HE
PA
TI
TI
S

Or hepatitis (unlike Trump who spells it HEPATITAS

Trump clearly never had the wonderful illustrations of Alex Brychta in his reading books…

This is REAL and I love Brychta’s work—I read a LOT of children’s books with children and Biff, Kipper and Chip’s adventures with Floppy are superb! The pictures are wonderful, they make the books…

This 🧵 is long so please bear with me. It is compiles evidence in a historical timeline on how effective #COVIDVaccines are. When a pandemic ends we quickly and easily forget the tools that got us out of it. So here is my labour day gift to you prompted by this headline.

truly baffling that a culture obsessed with machismo and swimming in semi-automatics would struggle with gun violence

The Israeli government is depraved. It's deliberately starving and murdering children. The world, and Australia, must make a stronger stand with sanctions. The people of Australia demand it.

Seriously, I wouldn't be visiting the US at all with the current administration. Never had a desire to visit in the first place really, but this reinforces that feeling.

Might just be me, but the fact a huge section of our southern food region is at record low rainfall should be receiving a little more coverage.

It's the end of Autumn and dams throughout our area are still dry.

Years ago on some forum, somebody said that "if you're caught red-handed, you shouldn't even get a trial."

I replied, "okay, I just caught you red-handed stealing a purse. Off to prison with you."

He didn't understand my point. I suspect he never will.

National grief and loss helpline forced to close Australia’s national grief and loss helpline is set to close on Tuesday due to a lack of sustainable funding from the Federal Government.

My mum is one of the volunteer counsellors for #Griefline, an essential service offered Australia-wide that will be forced to close from this Tuesday due to lack of government funding.

Shame on @AlboMP.bsky.social and @AustralianLabor.bsky.social.
