It’s pretty cool, much like BWCA it’s a very unpopulated region. Having two medium sized lakes to paddle around solo and not worry about anything else was a blessing

Nickel and dime

For as much as I enjoy birds, don’t think I’ve ever seen an owl in the wild until all the little birds in the front yard picked a fight tonight.

I think it, on some level, it speaks to a real education issue. Not like "we don't agree and I think that means you're stupid" but just a complete lack of facilities to detect any number of ways DT and EM were just vomiting bullshit and assume everyone warning them was simply wrong.

That’s probably next, but doing Voyageurs first. Dropped at trailhead, backpack in, NPS has canoes locked up on other end. Staying at War Club and Locator two days each. One campsite per lake. If we don’t come back it was either the flies or the wolves, but probably moose because they’re assholes
