Uganda's digital transformation has driven significant growth and innovation, largely fueled by the widespread adoption of mobile banking and e-commerce. The increased use of smartphones and mobile money platforms, has also made Ugandans a key target for cyber attacks.

Our team had the privilege of attending a very insightful workshop on data protection under the "Re-centering the Civic Internet Through Partner Engagement" project by Oxfam Uganda and the Center for Constitutional Governance.

The meeting convened experts to:Identify key protection gaps, Share promising practices and innovative approaches and Build recommendations to better safeguard and support WHRDs facing TFGBV. This dialogue was critical step to ensuring safe online spaces for WHRDs
