The photo shows a large, dark green van parked outside on the street in Portland. The driver-side door has the letters FSPL and the words Free Society People's Library written on the side in white. The building the van is part in front has a facade of off-white brick, alongside external silver industrial metal pipes and cabling, as well as a smattering of windows. The photo shows the inside of the Free Society People’s Library mobile library. Four people are inside the van. Two people are sitting on wooden seats – below their feet is a small grey carpet, which sits on top of wood panel flooring. Behind them are shells full of books covering one entire side of the van. Another person is stood to their left and looking at the shelves of books on the opposite side. A fourth person is sitting up front near the driver seat.

The Free Society People’s Library is a radical mobile library operating in and around Portland, Oregon, USA.

I thought I was missing being in a band. But I think I just miss making gig flyers and zines. In high school and college, I played drums in a band as well as designed our flyers and website. That was years ago and I didn't realize how much I missed doing that until now.

The poster for Luna Moth Zine Fest 2026 is very pretty. The bottom two-thirds feature a coloured paper collage showing an orange cat and a white rabbit in a field full of long grass. The grass is pointy and has moths in amongst its long leaves. The white rabbit is pointing to a collection of zines that seem to be flying through the air. The background is a blue sky with three white clouds; one of which has the sun peaking up from behind it. The top third of the poster features a black background and dark green writing, which says: LUNA MOTH ZINE FEST 2026 April 18th, 11 am to 4 pm, 72 Concord Street, Manchester HN, all ages, free.

Super cute poster for @lunamothzinefest.bsky.social, which takes places on April 18th (11am - 4pm) in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States.

The photo shows a repurposed analog vending machine at the San Francisco Zine Fest in 2015. On the glass of the vending machine the words ‘The Wonder Emporium’ are hand-painted in white lettering. Inside the vending machine or numerous small plastic capsules; one half of each capsule is red and the other is transparent (one can see they contain white paper material). The vending machine’s base is painted bright red and has been stabilised with some small wood panels at the bottom. As well as bearing hand-painted representations of the capsules, other lettering painted onto the glass of the vending machine says ‘50 cents’ (the price of each capsule), as well as "zines, fortunes, toys, drawings, poems, more". The vending machine stands next to a table full of scenes. The table has a blue tablecloth, which is patterned with white illustrated food items, and a person sits behind the table; they are speaking to someone who looks to be purchasing zines. The photo is a close-up of the same vending machine at the San Francisco Zine Fest in 2015. On the glass of the vending machine the words ‘The Wonder Emporium’ are hand-painted in white lettering. 'The Wonder Emporium' was a repurposed analogue vending machine I spotted at the 2015 San Francisco Zine Fest.

It capsules contained zines, fortunes, toys, drawings, poems or more (and one cost 50 cents) 💕

I wonder who it belonged to and whether it's still operational?

A meme of Ned Stark (played by Sean Bean) from Game of Thrones and white Impact-lettered writing overlaid on the image stating "ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY LEAVE THE ZINE FAIR EMPTY HANDED".

A truth universally acknowledged...

I joined such an activity (organised in Osaka) once and it was so much fun to contribute and receive my own as well as the other zines! There is space for 26 more participants at the moment. Please share - it would be brilliant to see some of you being involved, too!

A photo of six booklets for the zine, each a different colour (pink, orange, green, yellow, blue white). The title reads in all caps: DON’T JUST DO NOTHING TO COUNTER FACISM. The cover decoration is a sentence across the entire front and reads in all caps: YES, YOU. YES, NOW / 20 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO COUNTER FACISM. End ID.

’Don’t Just Do Nothing: 20 Things You Can Do to Counter Fascism’ is a #zine by Jewish anarchists on how people can organise and act in this changing world.

In 2016, I visited Tokyo and attended the Zinester Afternoon zine club in early July... 🇯🇵

It was an informal, monthly gathering organised by local zinester @momononaka.bsky.social at Cafe Lavanderia in Shinjuku.

I highly recommend following Momo on here – she's at the heart of Japan's zine scene ✂️

The ZineArranger by Nash High Zine layout tool for PDFs

There is a lot of woe in the world, but here is one thing I'm excited about:

nashhigh.itch.io/zinearranger This zine layout tool is a dream I never knew I had. You can upload a pdf of your, e.g., 56-page 1/4-sized zine in page order (1-56), and in seconds get back a 14-page doc you can print from.

I made these 💫 reward stickers 💫 for giving out to people when they trade zines with me at fairs! I don't experience zine trades anywhere near as much as I used to so I'll be doing some things to encourage it a bit more #DIYzines
