also, people don't really perceive the world as one big image, right? our focus tends to dart around things. i'm finding it more natural to depict scenes in broken up panels. but that might be because i suck at perspective

playing around with ways to display text/choices in my IF game. i think the common model of "big image on one side of the screen, scene description on the other, choices in a vertical list" works fine but is also a missed opportunity for creating visual hierarchy / more playful forms of expression
