Stretch, smooth, soothe. I bought myself red roses today. I went to yoga. I have full mobility in my right leg again, after the car accident. But I still need to build a little strength back. Valentines Day soon. My heart feels weak too.

For eight months I knelt on a pleather pillow at his feet. In bliss as he stroked my hair. I would’ve drunk the milk. I would’ve done anything to hear “good girl”.

Same path; different day. As I walk; I smile. Refuge.

Nature break.

My childhood in white marble and red carpet. Impossibly long hallways, secret passageways, mirrors, freedom, and introspection. It’s mine. That safe space. It was a gift. You can’t take it away from me. As the rumble piles up, my memory is mine.

As policy seeks to divide and cast out, I remember we are all connected on this planet. Global goals are the future. Global cooperation our only way forward. I stand opposed to this pendulum swing.
