Hey, I wrote a thing. I (and others) think that our sense of time and mental well-being are linked. Here are my thoughts on it. Thanks @psyche.co for the invite!

07.07.2025 10:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Perceptionβaction and interoceptive rhythms arenβt rivals. Theyβre complementary. Time isnβt just tracked from what we do, but also from what we are. The brain listens to the body. And in that dialogue, time is shaped.
07.07.2025 09:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Every heartbeat sends a pulse to the brain. So if a stimulus arrives during a beat, it lands on a wave already in motion. The ripple spreads differently. And that changes how time is felt.
07.07.2025 09:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks for these papers. Why can't it depend on both: sensorimotor flow and interoceptive rhythms? There's no pacemaker. Time arises from how activity unfolds (@deanbuono.bsky.social idea): stimulus is like a pebble dropped into a pond, sending ripples through neural networks. But the pond is body.
