Having been a court watcher since last April, why was “rule 34” invoked today? This says that members of the media have to notify the court prior to the proceedings, so multiple press members were kept out of the proceedings today. The Scene, the Banner and WPLN. Why is the court HIDING from us?!
I sat in court today as tenants told the judge that her paralegal did not and could not provide their balance. I saw a young woman who wanted to be on the winter docket given a week continuance without being given a chance to speak. If you want to know what’s actually happening, come court watch!!!
You could charge food donations to get into events. You could share the mutual aid asks and point out how different that is in comparison to competitors.
I’m not sure if maybe you’re already doing this, but the mutual aid requests locally are increasing and political campaigns have the reach and resources to make a difference. I know there are rules surrounding how campaign funds are used, but you could ask supporters to send their money elsewhere.
