I'd be laughing at this if it wasn't so close to the mark.

City of Bend Advisory Body Summit. Let's see what the next year holds.
The fact that, as a millennial, I have to provide tech support to EVERY OTHER FUCKING GENERATION is nuts.
I'm surprised North Bay isn't across a moat from everyone else.
i really want to impress on people that fares, crime, cleanliness etc are like way down the priority list. what matters with transit chiefly is “does it get you to where you’re going in a reasonable amount of time” and “does it get you there reliably”
Is the public going to be allowed at this meeting? I hope hard numbers and evidence to back up everything will be there.
Reminds me of Red Square at UW. Slippery on purpose so they could firehose protestors, but good luck biking on it in the rain.
Sarah is such a wonderful source of information. If you don't know her, you're missing out big time.
I was thinking it would be hilarious if he goes on to do amazing things for Oregon but will forever be known as the Kei Truck guy.
I think about this a lot. #oregon
A good reminder that solving the housing crisis isn't just about increasing supply, but also about fixing the system that is sucking us dry like big fat ticks.

Every night for the last five years, my kids have gone to sleep with The History of Rome by @mikeduncan.bsky.social. Best moment: my 10-year-old got revenge on her older sister recently and declared, "THIS IS WHAT THE SENATE SENDS YOU!" Thanks for the memories, Mike.
Water polo is a brutal sport, no joke.
Make electricity as cheap as water and the problem solves itself. Municipal power!
How the fuck do I get all these people in leadership to start saying in public all the progressive shit they post online? Are they all bipolar?
Our reality is that cars are essential for functioning in our society. What happens when we can no longer afford cars?

Lol, I think the same guy emailed us at yimby. Same language.
One of the most significant problems we will face in our rural community is this: how to prepare for a post-insurance future that is already emerging.

The lesson here is that people cannot take words and promises at face value. Elected officials need to get their gloves on, hold their breath, and peel back the layer no one else wants to, even if it makes them puke.
Thanks for being there David!
Every person on a bike, every person on a bus, is one less car on the road. If people hate traffic so much, they should be trying to make it easier to clear the road for better driving.
Wait until I tell you about their moon base...
Even someone half paying attention to our public transit system would quickly realize that something was off. They are going to be charging fares soon for worse service. I'm down to pay bus fares as long as it means better service.

Switch to plywood. It can double as a shield.
I love how few inline skates there are.
If my group chat were released to the press, it would just hurt the feelings of the local politicians who disappoint me, and anyone in leadership in our public transit system.
None of us ever talks like that, and I have yet to be in a locker room that has people talking like Donald Trump.
As a voter, you should ask yourself two important questions about political candidates:
- Do they have a concrete policy, or are they simply asking you to "trust me"?
- Do they have a proven track record, or are they only reaching out because they want something?

This is not the time to elect people who are "business as usual." It's time to elect leaders who are willing to take risks and think outside the box.
