Elffin, Roy, and Wolt stand side-by-side, facing the battlefield at the outset of a skirmish. Elffin smiles, eyes shut, and strums on his harp, where his bluebird friend is perched. Music notes on a staff rise out of it like a gentle line of smoke. He sings, "With harp in hand,/ I'll gladly sing—/ But I cannot *see*/ a blasted thing!" Roy squints toward the battlefield, one arm crossed and the other scratching his chin. His eyes are ringed with dark shadows, and he stands about half a foot shorter than either of his comrades. He says, "Okay... that's definitely either a *dragon* or a *ballista.* Or a *giraffe.* / Wait. That's stupid. War giraffes aren't a thing. / An *elephant.*" Wolt counts on his fingers, looking a little befuddled. He says, "Alrighty... we got... 9, 10, 11, 12 rows of horse fellas, and... uh.... / 6 columns, so that's... uhh... let's see... carry the one... and that's, uhh... w-wait, lemme start over." Behind the three of them, Perceval fumes: "How are *ANY* of you still alive?!"

I just have a nagging feeling I should take advantage of Elffin's #FEH debut, and also prove that I do in fact draw non-3H stuff. We all clown on Merlinus, but at the very least I have no doubt the man can do basic arithmetic.

Lilina and Roy reuniting per Binding Blade's Chapter 8: Reunion, which I have to assume is the reunion Lilina mentioned in the previous image. Lilina looks a little rough, her hair frazzled and clothes torn and scuffed in places. A stray arrow sticks out of her hair, having come dangerously close to its mark. She's looking down in bewilderment at the Arcane Truthfire tome, looking appropriately ornate and comically large, clearly more than her CON stat can handle. It's emitting its signature green flames, which cast Lilina and Roy in an eerie glow. Roy looks rather proud of himself, gesturing at the tome with his other hand in his pocket and a blushing grin on his face. Roy: "Yeah, found it at a yard sale, of all places. Couldn't believe my luck! / [small text:] You might want to get it checked for curses though, just in case...."

[Panel 1:] Byleth sits at the teacher's desk of an unfamiliar classroom, looking scruffy and tired, possibly hung over. A chalkboard hangs on the wall; we can see she's introduced herself on it as "PROF. BYLETH," with the rest of "PROFESSER" haphazardly erased. In the corner of the board, a slightly-obscured message (circled and labeled "don't erase") reads "Get well soon, Gen. Cecilia / 🤍 Lilina & Roy," with a drawing of a healing staff next to it. Near the top of the board, a smudged reminder in cursive reads "Tempest Friday!" Under Byleth's name, an interloper has scribbled "Fear the Deer," which has been X'd out and replaced with "the panda commanda" alongside a doodle of an angry red panda. This apparent non-sequitur is explained on the wall behind the teacher's desk; among a smattering of notes, drawings, and a rather unofficial-looking Askr teaching certificate hangs a homemade purple banner in the Officers' Academy style, its mascot a red panda in the same doodly style as the one on the board. Next to it is a label: "PURPLE PANDAS." Byleth rests her head in one hand and gestures lazily with the other, saying, "M'kay, so how do we want to do this? We don't have enough people for Heads-Up, 7-Up, but I'm fine with all-day recess if you are. Or naps. Up to you." [Panel 2:] Reverse shot of Lilina and Roy sitting at their shared desk, textbooks open and quills and paper at the ready. Lilina, pointing to her book: "Actually, I had a question on the homework? I know how to do differential equations, but #21 was really challenging... Could you please walk us through it?" Roy, holding his homework and looking contrite: "Um, Professor Byleth? I accidentally did even questions instead of odds. I'm really sorry, I-I don't know how I could forget that. / Anyway, I can do the evens too! But then... I should leave the room while you do corrections, so I'd need a hall pass...." [Panel 3:] Byleth, eyes narrowed suspiciously: "...What kind of cult is she running here?"

I've spent the better part of my existence in #FireEmblem fandom reminding everyone that Roy and Lilina are NERDS first and foremost, and I'm so glad #FEH opted to lean into that. Like yeah of course Roy's a mid unit, he's president of the chess club and he can't do magic, what did you expect??

[Frame 1:] In an underground cavern beneath the outskirts of Ostia, a mysterious structure looms amid the rocky surroundings. It is comprised of two pillars, eroded at their tops, and a cross-beam leaning at an angle between them, as if it had fallen from a greater height long ago. The structure is cracked with glowing green veins, casting everything around it in an unearthly light. Two figures stand before this forgotten relic, silhouetted by their own torch light. [Panel 2:] Closer, high-angle shot of the figures in question: Roy and Lilina, wearing traveling cloaks. The "torch" is simply a flame Lilina has conjured around her hand. She looks awed; Roy's expression is more determined. Lilina: "So this has been under our feet this whole time..."

[Panel 3:] Roy approaches the structure, looking back at Lilina with an attempt at a relaxed, confident smile. He doesn't seem to notice that he's activated the structure; its hollow center is filled with white light, which turns green as it touches Roy's hand and begins to dematerialize it. Lilina clutches him around his waist, looking horrified. Roy: "I'll be careful! I just want to see what's behind...." Lilina: "Roy......" [Panel 4:] And then the little globe at Garreg Mach's amiibo Gazebo spits them out with a little "p'tew!" They land on the ground a few feet away (in chibi), sparkling green as if they were a pouch of tea or a Goddess Ring.

[Panel 5:] Cut to Rhea and Seteth in the Audience Chamber, respectively keeping it together and getting another migraine. Rhea [thinking]: *Wonderful. Yet another thing I have to cover up.* Seteth: "Please, just... try to act like normal exchange students until we figure out how that stone works." [Panel 6:] Reverse shot of Lilina and Roy, holding folded-up bundles of Officers' Academy uniforms, no trace of fear whatsoever, despite the day they've had. Lilina, raising her hand diligently: "Question! Can we test out of foundation courses?" Roy, grinning at her and motioning behind him with his thumb: "Lilina, I think there's a library up on this floor. Those students we passed said something...." [Panel 6.5:] Small inset of Rhea and Seteth, looking just slightly less perturbed. Rhea: "they'll be fine."

This is all premised on the theory that the Gazebo, Dragons' Gates, Summoning Stones, and the like are all made from the same magical element that connects them across worlds, only accessible by those with draconic ancestry.

Profiles for Lilina and Roy as Officers' Academy students. They stand in the middle of the frame, in uniform, though each wearing their own trademark headpieces. They're also slightly older, a few years post-FE6. Lilina wears a jacket similar to Marianne's, but open in the front, with a white blouse and jabot. She has a mid-length skirt, navy leggings, and knee-high black boots. Roy wears a vest and shirt combo similar to Felix's, but it's a little oversized, and both the vest- and shirt-tails stick out haphazardly from under his belt. His sleeves are rolled up, as are his pants, creating cuffs just below his knees. In combination with calf-high white boots and slightly taller navy socks, it gives the impression of attempted shorts. Lilina's hands are clasped politely in front of her skirt, but she's surreptitiously nudging Roy in the chest and whispering "Fix your shirt." out of the corner of her mouth. Roy stares ahead, blushing; with his hands still in his pockets, it appears as though he was striking a casual pose until Lilina embarrassed him just now.
