😢 SJM had a new publisher, so a bunch of small creators who had licensed art is losing their licenses. Now I have to drop a few several hundred $$ to get all the stuff I wanted.

Of course he said no that’s tomorrow; then it took him a second, he turns and asks me “did you just guess the main event for Summer Slam?”
Yes. Yes I did.

Ended up canceling my full box of Big Into Energy Labubu’s. I’ve been getting pretty lucky with blind box buys lately and I’d rather have 1-2 of each version. I could have sold the extras but meh.

My husband says he’s glad I have my little Labubus and he hopes I get all my drops. Cause if I can support him with every MTG and Secret Lair drop, he can support my stupid little keychains and their outfits. 😂
He even got me a fufu!

That’s actually why I just bought a cheap-ish walking pad from Amazon. It’s hard to push myself to go outside, I’m hoping at least that even if I can only use it for 15 min of walking a day, it helps to keep some of my mobility.

Bryce is Aelin and Manon in one, with the strength of Feyre and fortitude of Nesta. The series gets so much shit, but there are so many surprises. Doing a full reread has made me appreciate CC so much more.

I’ve been a Maas fangirl since I first got my grubby little hands on Throne of Glass back in 2013. I loved Aelin, but I felt kinship with Feyre & I thought ACOTAR was hands down my favorite. It took me a while to get into Crescent City but now I think it’s actually her best work.

Ended up just ordering 2 different styles/sizes of brace. I’m going to be in it for another 3 weeks at least. Hopefully I can get reimbursed by my insurance.

I’m so livid. I have basically no support on my spine because the front is at a downward angle for people whose chin touches their chest… then the back is made for a normal adult. So the back is covering my ears, the front only supports if I am looking down/bending my neck.

Once again the brace they gave me at the hospital is too fucking big for me. I’m a small person, why would they put a neck brace that is for normal people on me and then not even fit it correctly. So now I’m in pain AND I can’t eat.

It’s definitely one or the other. I was a very big LiveJournal person, I still have my permanent account my Mom bought me in like 2003 😂 But it got to the point that doing it in 2+ pages is way too much of a hassle. I talk a lot of shit so writing it down helps. 😅 😂

That’s why I started journaling! So I can go back and see where I was… it also helps me identify when my partner was a dick/wrong & I can be very specific. 😂 😅

Nooo if it’s uncomfortable still, you might have a bit of damage. Do you have any ace bandages at home by chance? That’s always my go to, esp for sleeping. Helps by keeping it secure but also adds stability and compression to help heal a little faster.

Or maybe I’m the only one in the family who isn’t a little bitch & understands when shit needs to be done instead of hiding behind life.
Either way right now they can get fucked & can figure their shit on their own. I don’t need this added on. They can figure it out for once.

It just feels like some how I’m the only adult, or at least they use me & treat me like I’m the only adult — even though they’re 54 & 72 to my wise old 39. My job isn’t stressful, my body isn’t fucked up enough — only one in my family who has had so many surgeries 15 in 20 years!

I knew it was going to happen. They constantly minimize everything I do. Him being in the hospital is way more important than me, though he can call his cousins & talk on the phone to them for hours. But oh a notary in the place he’s in? No that’s way too hard.

So calling me & yelling because no I fucking can’t help. Why the fuck can’t my sister as a DOCTOR request medical records? Why is it on me to find a notary on the other side of the country. Why the fuck do my needs not count? Oh cause it’s my 15th surgery so I’m used to it?

I’ve been in AGONIZING pain & I’m only taking one week off from work because shit needs to get done & I’m the only one who can do it. But yeah, I guess the 100M MAU doesn’t mean shit.

But come the fuck on. I’m in the hospital, I LITERALLY just talked about the fucking drainage tube in my NECK. Work stress? I just helped launch Fortnite on Switch 2. We have MILLIONS of players who depend on me & my people to launch on any console platform.

I asked him to ask my sisters, the 2 MDs working at the hospital he’s in & who owned their own clinic & know about insurance bs … he tells me she’s under a lot of stress with work & she’s dealing with a lot. OK I get it & sympathize with all of it.

Well I was right, before surgery I was wondering when my family would discount everything I’m going through to help them with their shit and it was less than a day.

I know my Dad is in the hospital & it’s hard for him & trying to navigate the US healthcare system is difficult & frustrating.

Surgery was a success. My imaging is always well less severe than it ends up being IRL so they ended up having to replace 2 levels. C5-C7. Pain is ok. Staying tonight & hopefully getting discharged tomorrow but they gotta get the tube out of my neck first. 😅

My husband has been taking such great care of me lately. With everything going on between my Dad and my surgery.
He’s been checking every store looking for the Final Fantasy MTG booster packs. While he was working I went to 7 stores finally found some got him a whole box, only a lil over MSRP!

Man I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been a little sick but I keep getting overheated and drained anytime I spend more than 20-30 min moving around.
Putting laundry away and I’ll have to sit down because I feel like I’m going to pass out. Walking around store? Same thing. IDK what’s up.

Retrospect I’m really glad my partner got me into buying/wearing RSVLTs button ups because I don’t think pulling a shirt over my head for the next bit is going to be a good idea haha

After a few hours at the ER they gave me the all clear for surgery and a prescription for more zofran — adding it to my secret stash. I’m very glad I don’t have to postpone anything.
