103 months since 72 lives were taken at Grenfell.
This week the banners will move down the Tower for the final time before it disappears from the skyline, well before anyone might be held accountable.
Please keep Grenfell in your hearts,your minds,and your conversations💚
Bereaved families are heading to London for urgent talks with Keir Starmer as Hillsborough Law is delayed.
"The Prime Minister made me a promise to my face that he would not let this bill be watered down. It has to apply to all public servants & public officials."
- Charlotte Hennessy
We've joined over 40 other civil society groups including @pscupdates.bsky.social @amnestyuk.bsky.social & @tuc.org.uk to oppose dangerous government plans to increase police powers to ban protests.
We urge the government to immediately drop this draconian crackdown on our right to protest.
Families bereaved by the Manchester Arena bombing have written to the PM calling for MI5 to be fully included in the Hillsborough Law.
@debcoles13.bsky.social said: “The duty of candour must apply in full to security services & every public service so that no institution can hide behind secrecy.”
@thehowardleague.bsky.social is challenging the government's decision to authorise the use of PAVA spray in prisons holding boys due to:
- the physical & psychological damage PAVA spray will cause;
- the likely discriminatory use against racialised children;
- the increased harm it could cause.
No More Ticking Boxes – Families have a right to truth & accountability!
Great to connect with Mo Mansfield from @inquest-org.bsky.social 🙏

🚨 NEW REPORT: Built to Harm: how women's prisons take lives
From 2018–24, 59 people died in women’s prisons in England & Wales, nearly 40% self-inflicted.
The report shows many deaths could have been prevented if successive governments had acted on long-standing calls to end women’s imprisonment.
If you're considering where to make a Christmas Donation, can strongly recommend the amazing charity INQUEST. They gave me vital support to navigate the system after my mum died and do so much for families like mine. The funding landscape is v tough atm, anything you can spare would be a big help -

Watch now
Black people die disproportionately following contact with the police. The MPS needs to be held accountable for the harm they cause.
But instead, new Home Office rules will make it even easier for police officers to evade accountability.
Today the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has published an independent report that finds anti-Black racism is part of the Service’s ‘institutional design’.
This is not a new finding. The 1999 Macpherson Report was the first report of its kind to identify institutional racism in the MPS.
“……there appears to be a growing pattern of undercover officers raising mental ill-health as a reason that they should not attend the inquiry to give oral evidence” www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
MP's will debate Hillsborough Law for the first time on Monday.
The Bill is a critical opportunity to right past wrongs and end cover-up culture. It must be implemented in full.
We've teamed up with JUSTICE and Hillsborough Law Now to brief MP's ahead of the debate.
Read the briefing:
These figures demonstrate the inherently destructive nature of prisons, with deaths on the sharp end.
To end the vicious cycle of harm, the government must invest in community alternatives such as welfare, housing, and specialist drug and alcohol services to ensure people's needs are met.
The latest Safety in Custody statistics show that in the 12 months to September 2025, there were 411 deaths in prison custody, an increase of 30% in the previous 12 months.
Of these, 96 deaths were self-inflicted, an increase from the 88 self-inflicted deaths in the previous 12 months.

Last week the Home Office announced new rules that will make it even harder to hold police officers accountable following use of force & misconduct.
Instead of listening to those bereaved by police violence, the Home Office is parroting the police lobby.
This will lead to more impunity & injustice
A coalition of journalists and media lawyers have warned Shabana Mahmood that government plans to give anonymity to firearms officers facing criminal charges will damage public confidence in policing and fuel online misinformation.
We echo their call to the home secretary to think again.
