This DAT/MRI mismatch in PD is associated with worse cognitive and olfactory impairment.
Participants with synuclein SAA- PD may have higher tau pathology biomarkers seen with Alzheimer copathology.

In sporadic and genetic PD, patients with synuclein SAA+ PD have more striatal DAT deficit relative to atrophy while those with synuclein SAA- PD have more striatal atrophy relative to DAT deficit.

Very happy to share our last work on #IntrinsicCapacity (IC) in dementia with Lewy bodies #DLB (n=154), compared AD (n=644)
👉DLB patients showed lower IC in all domains (locomotion, vitality, psychology, audition), requiring personalized interventions !

Thank you for the highlight and example case! With #LewyBody disease, posterior hypometabolism is often more prominent than atrophy. This could be related to changes in neuronal integrity of posterior networks by a-synuclein.
