Which brings me to the more contentious #2. I agree that we should be seeing more PoC and marginalized players in the scene. That is inarguable and beyond reproach. But the thing is I feel like open recruitment for these shows is counter to the appeal? This is one I have skin in the game for.

Just don't think that's to its strength. The appeal is feeling like you're sitting at the table with these people like friends, watching their joint love of the game and each other win out.

Intense acting. The best APs have some of both, but to use Hideous Laughter as an example, Griff's performance of the Beast was chill inducing but I keep listening for Steve to say "Well Griff..." *Can cracking noise* "That's a Hamm's." I'm happy some are trying to do more with APs!

You're playing a game together that has characters and drama. You're not an actor, you're a player. Let's Play revolutionized YouTube. You're Let's Playing a ttrpg. You do more to make it entertaining than you would at your table but in jokes, antics and personality will push your brand more than ->

Okay, 2 likes, two dog shit opinions. 1) I think a lot of Actual Play listeners and creators would be better served coming together and forming an improv acting scene. Mechanics are a part of your show, the combat and strategy discussion is unique to your medium! Don't de-emphasize it!

I just finished reading the Heroes book and I'm honestly excited to run it sometime. I think there's a disconnect between what fantasy means to me and what it means to the designers but the game itself isn't beholden to that vision. But Draw Steel real good!
