Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.

I think I understand Pepsi’s financial woes. They changed the formula.

In 9th grade I’d read a lot of similar stories. Love the short stories of Lawrence Block and Stephen King. I don’t think books spur kids into violence unless they were leaning that way.

I get her concern but also wonder if it was actually a concern of the children. Kids are pretty tough.

Thankfully our family hasn’t gone through that, but the delays in testing and other treatment are concerning, as is the lack of concern.
