3rd kits could be used to create some hype in a time where they need it for promotional purposes. I don't think thats impossible but I also think it's more likely they fully focus on Splatoon 4 to get it out asap.

Something I wondered is if there could also be some kind of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe situation, where they release the game again for the next console as a full package, maybe with some extra single player content. It would obviously need to be compatible with the current version.

In some languages some things are gendered. In German for example tofu has a masculine pronoun. I wouldn't be surprised if that subconsciously influences people. In addition to all the stuff others have said already. 😄
