The pain has lessened significantly. The prognosis seems to be a lot better, he thinks when the swelling reduces and the abrasion begins to heal, hopefully with the help of the drops, my eye will more fully heal. I feel at least a tiny bit better. I don't know.

So I won't say everything is great, but I went to the doctor and got a more specific diagnoses; it turns out I have a severe abrasion over my cornea, with swelling and recurrent erosions due to it. My doctor gave me a bandage lens and antibiotics as well as two different drops.

I'll get over it. If this is my life now this is just my life now.

So it um, it turns out that this is kind of going to be life defining, I guess. I can't afford surgery so the best they can do is give me stuff intended to make it less painful. They say I should expect this kind of severe pain and total vision loss every 1-2 weeks. I'm stunned.
