I'm not sure you can get more marie antoinette than taking away food stamps before thanksgiving while you build a gold and marble dance hall so the other crooks can bring bribe you over a badly-cooked (argentinian) steak

Their project depends on making us all feel alone, isolated and powerless. Taking part in a protest destroys all of those feelings in an instant. Go.

I can't believe we're doing the whole moral panic about video games but about smartphones now. This moral panic (like all moral panic) is very made up! It's not based on anything but vibes/feelings. Every single top researcher who actually studies this topic has come out and said this, it's bad!

15.09.2025 18:46 — 👍 181    🔁 29    💬 13    📌 3

And btw, you can SEE this is a moral panic, bc even in this guy's post he's complaining abt *content* it's not about the technology of smartphones. It's about *content* these people don't like and how they believe specific content is destroying ppl's minds, just like rap music, TV, comic books, etc

If the right *truly* believed Charlie Kirk was a defender of free speech and someone who was fine with dissenting opinions, they wouldn't be engaged in a massive campaign to punish anyone who didn't "mourn him properly."

They clearly know all of that is bullshit. Only the media was conned.

Fox News' Marc Thiessen, without a hint of irony: "Imagine if – we didn’t see this on the right, but imagine if after the George Floyd killing, people had gone on in saying he was a POS and that I’m glad he's dead... do you think anybody would have employed them ever again?!"

This @washingtonpost.com editorial doesn’t make it past the second paragraph without a glaring (and telling) factual error.

President Washington didn’t create the War Department in 1789; *Congress* did:

The Civil War Was A Slave Revolt
YouTube video by Atun-Shei Films The Civil War Was A Slave Revolt

When speaking to black living historians at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum in Houston this past Juneteenth, I kept hearing a common refrain: that the Civil War was, in a way, the largest and most successful slave revolt in American history. youtu.be/KWiM00lCRTE

The idea that Trump adheres to deadlines is absolutely ludicrous.

The man promised us a healthcare plan over 450 weeks ago.

It's been infrastructure week since I was born.

Russia sanctions are supposed to be coming in two weeks.

A whistleblower's disclosure details how DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data A whistleblower tells Congress and NPR that DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data and hid its tracks. "None of that ... information should ever leave the agency," said a former NLRB official.

Oh dear you’re going to want to read this. Looks like DOGErs were caught exfiltrating NLRB data, likely on unions, for private (seemingly Elony) use. This is must read. What we’ve all suspected. But now details. www.npr.org/2025/04/15/n...
